The Transportation Department initiated the ZPASS identification system. The ZPASS is a rider identification system that allows HPS Transportation Department to identify which students are on the bus and where/when they board and leave the bus
Your child will be receiving an identification card called a ZPass. Your student will scan that card when boarding and exiting the school bus.

What is ZPass?
ZPass is a rider identification system that allows us to identify which students are on the bus and where/when they board and exit the bus.
How does it work?
Students scan a card when getting on and off the bus. It uses radio frequency technology to record the location of the bus.
Why do we need this?
It will allow us to know the location of your student while on one of our buses, as well as when they board and exit the bus.

No. The system is secure and only approved district staff can view the data.

You will be allowed to ride the bus to school. Issues with missing cards will be addressed by the school.
